Rachel Schnakenberg | Portraits | New Waverly Texas | February 2014
“For there is no friend like a sister, In calm or stormy weather; To cheer one on the tedious way, To fetch one if one goes astray, To lift one if one totters down, To strengthen whilst one stands” ― Christina Rossetti
When my little sister/other half turned 16 this year, I decided we'd trek out in the strangely warm weather for the end of February to take some new portraits. We decided we'd do glam, warm curls, deep cut black/blue dresses with lace, the whole shazzam. It was windy and very sunny out, so we hung out in our fathers barn and sat with the rusty farm implements. Somehow it worked and I think we're both really happy with the way they turned out.
